We’re looking for a Legacy Manager to join our Legacy Administration team.
For over 125 years, we’ve worked to protect places of historic interest and natural beauty, the cost of which is in excess of £570 million a year, so we also rely on donations and legacies. You’ll use your expertise to help us protect those legacies we’re so generously given to enable us to continue our vital conservation work.

What it's like to work here
Reporting into our Head of Legacy Administration, you’ll join a cohesive, specialist team of 5. You’ll play a part in supporting us achieve our ambitious newly launched strategy focusing on restoring nature, ending unequal access to nature, beauty and history and inspiring more people to care and take action.
Your contractual location will be our head office in Swindon and there will be an expectation for you to attend the office. However, there is flexibility on where you are based at other times. You will be required to work at a National Trust location for 40-60% of your working week. This will be discussed in more detail at interview.
What you'll be doing
You’ll use your subject matter expertise to manage a caseload of restricted and complex legacies in line with our policies and sector best practice. Communication skills will be vital in this position as you’ll be working with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimisation of this vital source of income. You’ll also be managing our Legacy Co-ordinator and support them to ensure that our first line processes are delivered to support our case management.
