Job summary

Macular Society, Beating Macular Disease, invites applications for Legacy and In Memory Officer. The role focuses on donor journeys, stewardship, and accurate donor records.

You will respond to enquiries and support campaigns, building lasting relationships with supporters while ensuring confidentiality and compliance with data protection. The position is office-based in Andover with potential for hybrid working.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with empathy.
• Strong organisational and administrative abilities.
• Experience maintaining accurate and clear records.
• Attention to detail and effective time management.
• Ability to build strong relationships with colleagues and supporters.
• Working knowledge of MS Office 365 and supporter databases.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to donor journeys and stewardship for legacy and in memory contacts.
• Develop content for legacy communications for website, social media and publications.
• Act as first point of contact for legacy/in memory contacts via post, phone and email.
• Process and recognise in memory donations from postal, telephone and online sources.
• Maintain full records in CRM and handle filing, scanning and data entry with confidentiality.
• Adhere to fundraising codes of practice, especially legacy marketing.
