Job summary

Beyond Talent Solutions Ltd is supporting a Leeds-based professional services firm to appoint an experienced Credit Controller to join the busy Collections team. You will manage your own client ledger, chase overdue payments, and build strong relationships with customers while maintaining accurate records and working towards clear KPI targets.

Qualifications

• Previous experience within a Credit Control / Collections environment
• Strong telephone and written communication skills
• Confident negotiating with customers and internal stakeholders at all levels
• Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage your own workload
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy when dealing with financial information
• Comfortable working towards targets and deadlines
• Confident using Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word
• A proactive, professional and 'can-do' approach
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
• Someone who enjoys building relationships and working collaboratively as part of a wider team

Responsibilities

• Manage your own portfolio of client accounts and proactively reduce outstanding debt
• Monitor payment terms and identify accounts requiring further action
• Build strong relationships with clients to support effective debt collection
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of all collection activity
• Develop an understanding of clients, their businesses and individual payment profiles
• Monitor and work towards agreed KPIs and collection targets
• Provide regular updates and relevant information to the wider Collections team
• Attend meetings with management to discuss outstanding debt and collection activity
