Job summary

Simpson Judge in Leeds is recruiting a Corporate Senior Associate to join the leading corporate team. You will manage your own caseload, nurture client relationships and lead smaller deals, collaborating with senior lawyers on high-value matters.

The role requires at least 5 years’ PQE with a broad corporate practice including M&A, private equity, buyouts, JVs, reorganisations and governance. Networking and mentoring juniors are welcomed aspects of the role.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years’ PQE in corporate matters.
• Technical specialist across M&A, private equity investments, buyouts, joint ventures, reorganisations and corporate governance.
• Experience supporting the technical development of junior team members.
• Ideally, some networking and business development activity.
• Motivated, commercially minded and calm under pressure, who works well autonomously and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload and client relationships, with support as needed, while working closely with senior lawyers on high-value matters.
• Lead on smaller deals.
• Work with a wide-ranging client base, including private companies and PLCs, in the UK and internationally.
• Have the time to build long-term client relationships, and the chance to contribute to business development.
• Work closely with other teams across the firm to share opportunities, knowledge and best practice.
