Job summary

SBFM is seeking a Central Operations Planner in Leeds, West Yorkshire, to coordinate and schedule resources for efficient service delivery. Based at head office, you will work with engineers and Account Managers to plan workloads, manage schedules, and respond to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment.

Experience with FLS or similar scheduling systems is essential. The role offers a clear progression path and a pension scheme as part of a supportive team culture.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in an operational planning, scheduling or workforce management role.
• Experience using FLS or a similar scheduling/workforce management system.
• Strong organisational and planning skills, with excellent attention to detail.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and respond positively to changing requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• High level of accuracy when reviewing data, schedules and reports.
• Experience using employee shift management or workforce scheduling applications would be advantageous.
• Experience coordinating employee onboarding and induction activities would be advantageous.
• Ability to work independently while also being a strong team player.

Responsibilities

• Plan and schedule engineers' workloads to maximise productivity and meet operational requirements.
• Use FLS and scheduling systems to allocate jobs and manage schedules.
• Coordinate with Account Managers to align with customer requirements and service commitments.
• Organise inductions for new hires and ensure documentation and training are completed.
• Manage workforce schedules using scheduling tools and shift allocations.
• Prioritise workloads and adapt schedules to changing business needs.
• Monitor engineer activity and progress, ensuring tasks are recorded accurately.
• Maintain attendance and workload distribution records for transparency.
