We have created a great opportunity for an experienced Ledger Clerk to join our Cheltenham based finance team to provide crucial support to both our Transactional and Management Accounts teams, ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of financial data, and contributing to the integrity of our financial reporting.

About our role

You’ll work on a hybrid basis with 3 days in our Cheltenham office (with free onsite parking) and 2 days working from home. We are offering this role on a 6 month fixed term contract, and although not guaranteed there could the potential for this to become a permanent role subject to business needs.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Raising and issuing a variety of sales ledger invoices as part of the monthly reporting process
  • Processing purchase ledger invoices for both the Service Charge and Development systems
  • Opening post, scanning invoices and posting into the ledger
  • Supporting the weekly payment runs
  • Dealing with queries from colleagues relating to the status of invoices and payment dates
  • Assist with the year end audit process through provision of supporting information
  • Support other members of the Finance Team as required
  • Ad hoc related tasks as required

About you

You’ll be an experienced Ledger Clerk with at least 2 years experience, construction or property related sector would be an advantage. You’ll be highly organised and efficient with a strong attention to detail and a professional approach.

Experience

  • COINS and MRi Qube accounting systems experience (desirable)
  • Construction or property related sector experience (desirable)

Skills, knowledge & attributes

  • Strong IT skills are essential, including a solid understanding of spreadsheets. Familiarity with Google Suite would be advantageous but is not a requirement.
