About us

IOE is UCL Faculty of Education and Society.

The Department of Psychology and Human Development brings together staff with research and teaching interests that encompass psychological approaches to learning, development and education from early childhood to adulthood in typical and atypical populations.

About the role

We are looking for two exceptional applicants for the posts of Lecturer (Teaching) in Psychology or Education (Maternity Cover).

In this post you will contribute to teaching on courses offered to postgraduate and/or undergraduate students and supervise postgraduate research projects.

In addition, you will use a range of monitoring and evaluation techniques to assess the effectiveness of course delivery and contribute to the development of research-led curricula across relevant programme areas.

About you

With an earned doctorate in education, psychology or closely related area you will have evidence of teaching and research specialisms in education, psychology or closely related area, together with a developing research profile, reflected in publications and/or impact activities.

Your application form should address all the person specification points and should clearly demonstrate how your skills and experience meet each of the criteria.

It is important that the criteria are clearly numbered and that you provide a response to each one.

There are two posts available, both for 12 months each, with one starting on 1 st September and the other starting on 1 st October 2025.
