Job summary

University of the Highlands and Islands (UHI Inverness) is seeking a self-motivated Lecturer Supply in Electrical Installation to deliver and assess Electrical Installation and related subjects to a diverse student body at multiple levels. Full training will be provided; no teaching qualification is required initially.

You will prepare lessons, contribute to curriculum delivery, and work as part of a team to ensure an excellent educational experience.

Qualifications

  • Qualified in Electrical Installation to at least SCQF Level 7, or equivalent proven industrial experience.
  • Good IT skills including MS Office and related software.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Electrical Installation and, if qualified, Electrical Engineering to a diverse range of students at varying levels.
  • Prepare lessons and teaching materials; assess and mark student work.
  • Be an effective team member and contribute to a high-quality curriculum and learning experience.

Lecturer Supply – Electrical Installation

Variable Supply

Grade: Unpromoted Lecturer (£23.84 - £28.70 per hour)

We are seeking a self-motivated and reliable person who has a passion for Electrical Installation and a desire to pass on their knowledge to the next generation.

This role offers the opportunity to share your knowledge and experience with the next generation, alongside excellent employee benefits (see below), including over 12 weeks paid annual leave per year.

You do not need to have a teaching qualification to apply for this role, as full training will be provided.

You should be a good communicator and enjoy working with people. You should have good IT skills, including experience using applications such as MS Office and other relevant subject-related software packages. You will deliver Electrical Installation and, if qualified to do so, Electrical Engineering subjects to a diverse range of students at a variety of levels.

As a professional member of the teaching staff at UHI Inverness, you will be responsible for the preparation of lessons, teaching students, and the marking and assessment of their work. You will be an effective team member, delivering a high-quality curriculum and an excellent educational experience.
