[ About the Role]

We are looking for a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Law for this 1.0 FTE permanent position. The role holder will be expected to convene, teach, and contribute to the strong research profile of the School of Law. In particular, the role holder will have substantive legal knowledge of one or more jurisdictions of Africa and will be expected to co-convene and teach on the compulsory LLB module, Legal Systems of Asia and Africa. It is desirable for the role holder to have interest or expertise in one or more of the following: customary law, law and gender in Africa, development, human rights, and/or areas of growing legal interest, e.g., technology, AI, environmental law or sustainability. The role holder will also be expected to contribute to team-taught modules across the School of Law, to supervise undergraduate and postgraduate dissertations, and to work in a collegial and collaborative manner with staff across the School.
