Job description

Lecturer salary starts from £38,784 per annum.

Senior Lecturer salary starts from £44,746 per annum.

The School of Natural Sciences at the University of Lincoln seeks to appoint a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer in Human Animal Interaction to support teaching and scholarship across our undergraduate and postgraduate provision.

The successful candidate will contribute to teaching across a range of animal behaviour and welfare‑related subjects at both undergraduate and post graduate taught levels and play an active role in curriculum development. We particularly welcome applicants with expertise in Human Animal Interaction and Human Behaviour Change as it pertains to animal behaviour and welfare and who have an ability to deliver high‑quality, student‑focused teaching at all levels.

The post would particularly suit a candidate in the field of Human Animal Interactions with a background in impactful applied research. We would welcome applications from individuals with a strong research record in companion, farm, laboratory and/or zoo animal welfare, alongside a proven ability to teach in these areas, commensurate with career stage. Irrespective of research background, a willingness and ability to contribute to companion animal teaching is essential. Strong connections with animal industries and/or animal protection charities are desirable.

Alongside teaching and student support, you will engage in research appropriate to your career stage, contributing to the School’s vibrant academic environment and REF2029.
