Job summary

The University of Greater Manchester invites applications for a role contributing to the teaching and delivery of the Public Health programme across undergraduate and taught postgraduate levels. You will support students academically and personally and participate in recruitment and admissions activities for the Public Health Programme.

Applicants should have a first degree, teaching qualifications preferred, and professional membership/registration.

The key duties of the post holder will be to contribute to the teaching and delivery of the Public Health programme, undergraduate and taught postgraduate programmes, including the academic and personal support of students. In addition, you will be expected to contribute to the student recruitment and admissions of the Public Health Programme.

Professional Membership/Registration is a desirable requirement for this role along with a first degree and preferably a teaching qualification. We are particularly interested in candidates with contemporary experience in Public Health. A commitment to undertaking a PhD and membership of the Higher Education Academy is an essential requirement of the role.

The successful candidate should demonstrate a practical awareness of current developments in Public Health Education as well as being able to facilitate the creation and maintenance of a range of links between courses and the Professional sector.
