Our Social Science department is looking for a Lecturer & Programme Lead in A-Level. This is a new and exciting role for a growing college!

We are seeking a passionate and experienced candidate to join and lead our dedicated team in shaping the future of our students and making a lasting impact at Macclesfield College!

The Role

The Programme Lead will assist the Centre Principal with the operational day-to-day running of the area. The post holder will teach a caseload (0.5) within the A Level (Social Sciences/Business) curriculum.

The Programme Lead will be an ambassador for the college and take strategic leadership for the curriculum area. Responsibilities include operational management, staff line-management, and teaching within the curriculum.

This role may require evening and weekend work to support college events like interviews and parents' evenings.

Applicants should have previous experience in a similar role, ideally within an FE environment.

Main Duties Include

• Planning teaching, learning, and assessment to ensure effective learning outcomes.
• Delivering teaching to an outstanding standard, ensuring high success rates.
• Assessing learners' work accurately against awarding body criteria.
• Ensuring compliance with quality assurance procedures for audits.
• Utilizing resources effectively to enhance learner outcomes.
• Monitoring and maintaining accurate learner assessment records using MIS systems.
