Are you an ambitious structural engineer looking to develop your academic career within a world-leading environment? We have an exciting opportunity to join the School of Mechanical, Aerospace and Civil Engineering (MAC) at the University of Sheffield as a Lecturer in Structural Engineering. You will contribute to the delivery of our Structural Engineering programmes within one of the UK's leading structural engineering groups. We welcome applications from candidates with expertise in structural engineering or a closely related discipline. You should have, or be close to completing, a PhD, and demonstrate the potential to deliver high-quality teaching. You will join our internationally recognised Structural Engineering Group, whose expertise spans structural mechanics, steel and composite structures, reinforced concrete, computational mechanics, structural dynamics, earthquake engineering, structural health monitoring, and sustainable infrastructure. In this role, you will contribute to teaching across undergraduate and postgraduate Structural Engineering modules, and help deliver an outstanding student experience. This role has been identified as one which may be particularly suitable to be split to enable job-share or similar type arrangements, therefore applicants are encouraged to specify in their application if they would be interested in taking a part of the role.
