An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Lecturer to join the School of Health Sciences to deliver lectures and seminars and carry out teaching-related duties.

Teaching is a key part of this role and as such you will be expected to plan, teach and assess undergraduate and potentially postgraduate programmes, taking responsibility for the delivery and assessment of specific modules. This will include organising modules and developing teaching and learning materials. You will also take responsibility for some of the degree programmes within the school, regularly interview prospective students and promote enterprise and engagement at UEA.

You must have a first degree (or equivalent) in a relevant subject area with experience of undergraduate teaching and student assessment at all levels including coursework, examinations and undergraduate dissertations. A current HCPC/NMC/GMC registration is also required. Teaching experience at postgraduate level and an interest in relevant enterprise and engagement activities would be advantageous.

This part-time (0.8 FTE) post is available on a fixed term basis for two years to cover the absence of the current post holder.

This post is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act 1974 and appointment will be subject to a criminal record check at Enhanced level from the Disclosure and Barring Service.

UEA offers a variety of flexible working options and we encourage applications from individuals who would prefer a flexible working pattern including annualised hours, compressed working hours, part time, job share, term-time only and/or hybrid working. Details of preferred hours should be stated in the personal statement and will be discussed further at interview.

We strongly encourage applicants from underrepresented groups to apply, including candidates who are male, disabled, LGBTQ+, and/or from Black, Asian or other minority ethnic backgrounds. We welcome applications from all protected groups as defined by the Equality Act 2010. Appointment will be made on merit.

Closing date: 17 August 2025
