Salary: £33,487 (unqualified) or £38,487 including Market Force Supplement (qualified) per annum + benefits

Are you an experienced accident repair professional looking to train the next generation? Pass on your skills and shape the future of the automotive industry by joining our Further Education team. You will inspire learners, manage workshop sessions, and bridge the gap between education and industry.

In this role, you will bring the workshop to life by blending practical, theoretical, and digital learning. You will deliver outstanding training up to Level 3, including adult learning and specialist courses like F‑Gas, MOT, and Hybrid/Electric vehicles. Based in our state‑of‑the‑art workshops, you will mentor diverse learners and help them secure apprenticeships and thriving careers.

Teaching & Learning

  • Deliver engaging theory and practical body repair lessons.
  • Teach panel replacement, welding, bonding, and dent repair.
  • Instruct on paint preparation, refinishing, and safe practices.
  • Create lesson plans, schemes of work, and resources.
  • Adapt teaching methods for different learning styles and abilities.
  • Build learner confidence, independence, and professional workplace behaviours.

Assessment & Support

  • Assess progress using practical observations and portfolio evidence.
  • Provide constructive feedback to drive learner improvement.
  • Maintain accurate records for quality assurance processes.
  • Prepare students for external exams and industry expectations.
  • Monitor attendance, punctuality, progress, and overall student engagement.
  • Identify learning barriers and collaborate with support teams.
You will

inspiring students by sharing real‑world insights from the automotive industry and assess students' progress in our state‑of‑the‑art workshops, ensuring they meet industry standards.

Candidates should be an effective and motivated team player, with excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with colleagues and management to achieve strategic and organisational objectives.

You will hold a vocational qualification at Level 3 or above, as well as a relevant teaching qualification and assessors award.

Expertise: Deep industry knowledge of Accident Body Repair.

Technical Skill: Mastery of practical repair and workshop techniques.

Standards: Full understanding of current automotive repair regulations.

Communication: Ability to motivate, organize, and support diverse learners.

Growth Mindset: Commitment to continuous personal professional development.

You will be able to bring the subject to life, using combined methods of practical, theoretical and digital which will engage your learners and provide them with the best skills, knowledge and behaviours for the future.

Department Info

As a member of the Motor Vehicle delivery team, you will play an important role in developing and creating resources, as well as tracking and monitoring students, to promote positive outcomes and achieve the key priorities for the College.

Your line manager will be the Curriculum Manager. You will regularly report on your objectives to update your line manager regarding a range of KPI's including (but not limited to) student recruitment, retention, anticipated achievement, attendance and punctuality.
