Job summary

Yorkshire Education Group in Castleford invites applications for a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering to teach practical and theoretical courses in Mechanical Engineering. You will work in our Engineering department, with access to excellent facilities and strong links with industrial partners.

We seek candidates with a Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering and a Degree in Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent), plus experience in industry or educational settings.

Qualifications

• Hold a Level 3 qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
• Hold a Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a qualification of an equivalent level, or equivalent experience.
• Have experience in a relevant industry and/or educational setting.
• Have practical skills and theoretical knowledge of Mechanical Engineering.
• Hold GCSE A*- C / 9 - 4 in English and Maths or equivalent.
• An IQA qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Teach practical and theoretical courses in Mechanical Engineering.

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering to join our Engineering department, where you will teach practical and theoretical courses in Mechanical Engineering. We have some excellent facilities and strong links with industrial partners. You will join our innovative team of highly qualified professionals. We are particularly interested in hearing from CAD specialists, Hydraulic, Pneumatics and Fluid Power specialists and individuals with Internal Quality Assurance qualifications.

As a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of students, by providing them with the engineering skills, knowledge and training required to enable them to achieve their goals, while ensuring the economic development and success of engineering industries.

As a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering, you should:
