Job summary

The Education Training Collective invites applications for a Health Lecturer at Redcar and Cleveland College. The role focuses on planning, preparing and delivering high-quality health education to learners, supporting their progression and professional development.

You will work as part of the Health team, mentoring students, developing schemes of work and collaborating with employers to provide industry-relevant experience. Horaries are 18 hours weekly on a fixed-term basis.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Health Lecturer to join our Health team, reporting to the Curriculum Manager for Health, Early Years, Access to HE and Distance Learning.

As a Health Lecturer at Redcar and Cleveland College, you will be responsible for planning, preparing, and delivering engaging, high-quality lessons that provide students with an exceptional learning experience. You will design schemes of work, develop innovative learning resources and assessment materials, and provide constructive feedback through both formative and summative assessment methods to support learner achievement and progression.

Supporting students will be central to your role. This will include acting as a personal tutor, providing educational advice and guidance, monitoring progress through individual learning plans, and helping learners overcome barriers to success. You will work closely with colleagues, employers, and placement providers to ensure students gain relevant industry knowledge and practical experience that prepares them for further study or employment within the health sector.

You will also contribute to the continued success and growth of the programme by supporting student recruitment and marketing activities, participating in curriculum development and review, and maintaining strong links with healthcare employers and stakeholders. In addition, you will play an active role in team meetings, quality assurance activities, professional development, and the evaluation of teaching, learning, and assessment to ensure our Health provision continues to deliver outstanding outcomes for learners.
