The Role

Blackpool and The Fylde College (B&FC) is currently seeking a passionate and innovative Lecturer in GCSE English to join our dedicated team. We are recruiting for one full-time position (37 hours per week) and one part-time position (29.6 hours per week). This is an exciting opportunity to shape the next generation of learners while contributing to a vibrant academic community.

Your Responsibilities Will Include

As a Lecturer in English, you will play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality teaching and support to our students. Your main duties will involve:

• Delivering and managing inclusive and engaging teaching, learning, and assessment in GCSE English.
• Assisting in curriculum design, development, and continuous quality improvement.
• Supporting student recruitment, retention, achievement, and progression through targeted guidance and developmental support.
• Using a blend of digital and in-person teaching tools (e.g., VLE, progress tracking systems) to enhance student outcomes.
• Contributing to the academic community through professional development, scholarship, and collaborative practice.
