Job summary

Blackburn College is seeking a Lecturer in Foundation Learning on a part-time basis. The role focuses on delivering Foundation Learning programmes, contributing to curriculum design, and supporting student success with pastoral guidance.

The post requires a Level 4+ qualification and a recognised teaching qualification, with a preference for experience with High Needs students. The position is 11.1 hours per week with a pro rata salary ranging from £28,273 to £42,655 per annum, depending on

Job description

Lecturer in Foundation Learning

Part-time - £28,273 to £42,655 Pro Rata, Per Annum

11.1hrs per week

Responsible to the Head of Inclusion you will be part of a curriculum team, contributing to the growth and development of the Foundation Learning programmes. This includes focusing on retention, achievement and student success alongside pastoral support, curriculum design/development and ensuring a high standard of quality provision is offered to all learners including NEET and High Needs Students.

What are we looking for?

With a relevant Level 4 or above qualification and a recognised teaching qualification, you will have successful experience of delivering qualifications at foundation level. You will also be able to demonstrate the ability to motivate and inspire students and to develop innovative teaching materials. Experience of working with High Needs students is desirable.
