Job summary

University College Birmingham is seeking a Lecturer in Engineering (FE) to teach Mechanical, Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering in our state-of-the-art facilities in Birmingham. The role focuses on delivering practical, industry-aligned learning and assessing students across the department.

You will plan and develop the curriculum, inspire learners, and contribute to staff development while supporting students throughout their studies.

Salary: £35,608 - £43,482 per annum - AC2

The Role:

Do you have experience teaching Engineering in Further Education? University College Birmingham is looking for a Lecturer in Mechanical or Electrical or Mechatronics Engineering. The department has state of the art equipment in controls systems and smart factories, robotics, pneumatics and hydraulic, fluid mechanics, programmable logic controllers and microprocessors.

You will plan, develop and deliver high-quality teaching and assessment, contribute to the continued development of the engineering curriculum and support students throughout their studies. We are looking for someone who can bring engineering concepts to life through practical, industry-relevant learning.
