Job summary

Teesside University invites applications for a Diagnostic Radiographer role within the Department of Allied Health Professionals, School of Health & Life Sciences. You will contribute to teaching, research, knowledge exchange, enterprise and business engagement across the School and University.

You will be HCPC registered, hold a relevant degree with a masters, and aim to obtain a Teaching Qualification within two years (PGCHE/Associate Fellow/Senior Fellow).

Qualifications

• Must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Diagnostic Radiographer.
• Demonstrate contemporary knowledge, experience and skills in diagnostic radiography.
• Ability to contribute to curriculum development and manage practice placements.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to teaching, research, knowledge exchange, enterprise and business engagement in the Department of Allied Health Professionals, School of Health & Life Sciences, and across the wider School and University.
• Engage in curriculum development and negotiate/manage practice placement experiences.
• Support the School and University through teaching, scholarship and outreach activities.

In this role you will contribute to teaching, research, knowledge exchange, enterprise and business engagement in the Department of Allied Health Professionals in the School of Health & Life Sciences, as well as contributing to the wider School and University.

You will hold, or be willing to achieve, a relevant Teaching Qualification, normally within 2 years of employment, i.e. PGCHE/Higher Education Academy (Associate Fellow/Senior Fellow) accreditation.

You must be registered with the Health and Care Professions Council as a Diagnostic Radiographer and you must be able to demonstrate contemporary knowledge, experience and skills in this subject area. The ability to contribute to curriculum development and to negotiate and manage practice placement experiences is essential. You will have a first degree and masters’ level qualification in a relevant discipline or an equivalent professional qualification or significant practical work experience in a related discipline.
