Job summary

Chesterfield College is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic professional to join the Construction team. The successful candidate will teach on a range of programmes from Levels 1 to 2 in Carpentry & Joinery, alongside multi-skill construction courses in both workshops and classroom environments.

Applicants should have at least a Level 2 qualification in an associated trade (Brickwork, Plastering, Joinery or Painting and Decorating) and varied experience in the Construction Industry.

Qualifications

• Experience teaching Carpentry & Joinery at Levels 1–2.
• Ability to teach in workshops and classroom environments.
• Willingness to work towards teacher training or assessor qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Teach on Carpentry & Joinery Levels 1–2 and multi-skill construction courses in workshops and classrooms.
• Deliver engaging lessons and assess student progress.
• Support learners to achieve and progress in Construction studies.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic and energetic professional to join the Construction team at Chesterfield College.

The new team member will be required to teach on a range of programmes from Levels 1 to 2 in Carpentry & Joinery, along with multi skill construction courses in both workshops and classroom environments. Applicants should have at least a Level 2 qualification in an associated trade (Brickwork, Plastering, Joinery or Painting and Decorating) and varied experience working in the Construction Industry.

The successful candidate will have a passion for their subject and a desire to train the next generation of construction workers.

Possession of a teacher training qualification would also be an advantage as would a relevant assessor award. However, a willingness to work towards these qualifications would be acceptable.
