Job summary

Northamptonshire College seeks a Lecturer in Business to join its expanding curriculum team on a permanent basis. You will deliver engaging teaching across Further and Higher Education, helping students develop knowledge, skills and confidence to progress to higher education or employment.

We are looking for a candidate with a Degree or equivalent vocational experience, teaching qualification (or willingness to work towards one), and GCSEs in Maths and English.

Qualifications

• A Degree, HNC or equivalent vocational experience in a relevant discipline such as Business Management, Business Analytics or Business Marketing.
• A teaching qualification, or a willingness to work towards an Award in Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade C/4 or above (or equivalent).
• Experience within a Business environment.
• Previous teaching or lecturing experience within Further Education is advantageous but not essential, as training can be provided.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• The ability to motivate, engage and inspire learners from a range of backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality teaching across Further and Higher Education programmes.
• Plan and deliver engaging, innovative lessons that inspire learners.
• Assess student work and provide constructive feedback to support achievement.
• Monitor student progress and implement strategies to maximise success.
• Contribute to the ongoing development of the Business curriculum.
• Support students' academic, personal and professional development.
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to quality assurance processes.
