Job description

We are seeking two highly motivated and innovative candidates to join us as Lecturers in Business. The successful applicants will join an enthusiastic team committed to delivering teaching, research and academic enterprise, which contributes to the School, Faculty and University’s strategic ambitions. A commitment to high quality teaching and learning is essential and candidates should be willing to share the University’s core values of creating a learning environment that is inclusive, challenging and promotes collaboration, professionalism and confidence.

The University of Wolverhampton holds a distinctive place within the higher education sector, and is one of the most successful modern universities, delivering excellence in teaching and research, widening access, and in business engagement. Having begun life nearly 200 years ago to enhance education and skill base of the workforce in what is today a major industrial conurbation, we have continued to fulfil and develop the role to meet the needs of the region we serve. Today, the University of Wolverhampton is an integral part of economic growth and social change within the West Midlands and beyond.

The School of Business and Law is based in the Faculty of Arts, Business and Social Sciences and has a distinguished record of supporting people and organisations. We have extensive business networks and work collaboratively with a wide range of professional bodies and offer on campus and online courses, degree apprenticeships and have a growing portfolio of collaborative partners in the UK and overseas. Experience of working with a range of UK and international parters and student cohorts at all levels is desirable. The role may involve international travel.

You will have a good first degree, a postgraduate qualification and, ideally, professional experience. A PhD, or working towards a PhD in a business-related area, is desirable.
