The University of Lancashire on the Preston campus is seeking a Lecturer in Anatomy to contribute to course delivery, management and development within the Medicine and Dentistry team, with a strong focus on clinical aspects of anatomy.

You will support assessment and evaluation, lead in modules, and work with a multidisciplinary team; a first degree and higher degree in an appropriate subject, plus a teaching qualification or HE membership, are required.

About the role:

The School of Medicine and Dentistry wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Anatomy to join the Medicine and Dentistry team on the Preston campus.

The postholder will contribute to course delivery, management, and development in the area of Anatomy. Working within a committed and enthusiastic team you will focus primarily on programmes in the School of Medicine and Dentistry. You will support the Anatomy Lead in the academic leadership, development and delivery of modules with a strong focus on clinical aspects of anatomy. You will also develop and deliver assessment and evaluation for these programmes.

About you:

You will hold a first degree and higher degree (or be working towards) in an appropriate subject as well as a teaching qualification (or willingness to undertake on appointment) or membership of the HE. You will have a commitment to continued professional development.

You must possess excellent communication and presentation skills; have an ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and maintain good working relationships with other professions. Experience of lecturing and excellent IT, and organisational skills are essential. Applicants need to meet all essential criteria on the person specification to be considered for interview.
