Job summary

The University of Sheffield's School of Computer Science invites applications for a Lecturer in Artificial Intelligence and Software Engineering. You will contribute to the ASET research group, delivering cutting-edge teaching and conducting high-impact research at the intersection of AI and software engineering.

You will develop and teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules, mentor students, pursue external funding, and collaborate with industry and other academic partners to shape the field

Qualifications

• PhD in computer science or a relevant subject area.
• Track record of high-quality AI and software engineering research.
• Ability to design and deliver research-led teaching incorporating generative AI.
• Evidence of research impact beyond academia.

Responsibilities

• Conduct innovative AI and software engineering research recognised internationally.
• Develop funding strategies and manage external grants.
• Disseminate findings via conferences and high-quality journals.
