Job summary

Kirklees College in Huddersfield is seeking a 0.2 Lecturer in Access to HE Level 1 and 2 predominantly. You will create and deliver high-quality lessons and undertake course tutor duties, including assessing student work, based at the Waterfront and Pioneer Campuses.

The role requires delivering courses in line with awarding body requirements, monitoring students, and upholding college values of kindness, unity and excellence.

Qualifications

• Delivery of the specialist subject to adults aged 18+.

In the role of Lecturer in Access to HE, Level 1 Gateway qualification with a range of generic subjects, you’ll predominantly be based at both the Waterfront Campus and the Pioneer Campus and your focus will be on the creation and delivery of high-quality lessons and course tutor duties, including assessing student work.

Your key responsibilities will be ensuring that the course/s of students are effectively delivered in line with Awarding Body requirements, monitoring and assessing students in accordance with requirements of the programme and ensuring that quality and integrity are embedded in all your practices.

Ideally, you’ll have the necessary qualifications (or be able to prove equivalent ability) and demonstrable experience in the delivery of the specialist subject to adults aged 18+. It’s important that you’re able to communicate effectively and engage with both young people and adults and demonstrate our college values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
