Job summary

Trafford College, based at the Cheadle Campus, invites applications for a Horticulture Lecturer on a fixed-term contract to July 2027. The post involves 7.4 hours per week (0.2 FTE) with salary range £35,019 - £49,767 FTE.

The role supports RHS qualifications delivery and development of a broad horticulture curriculum. The successful candidate will inspire learners with practical industry insight across Plant Science, Plant Health, Plant Nutrition and Plant Specification, and prepare students

  • Experience delivering Horticulture course content and RHS qualifications.
  • Ability to prepare learners for examined assessment.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver Level 1 City and Guilds and Level 2 RHS courses within the Horticulture department.
  • Support teaching and learning across Plant Science, Plant Health, Plant Nutrition and Plant Specification.
  • Contribute to growth of the curriculum and opportunities for learners.

The Trafford and Stockport College Group (TSCG) has an opportunity for an experienced Horticulture Lecturer to join the team to help us achieve our vision of unlocking potential and fostering success.

The role:

The Horticulture department currently deliver a range of courses across Level 1 City and Guilds and Level 2 RHS qualifications. They also deliver a range of Horticultural short courses.

About you:

We require a passionate Horticulture lecturer who inspires students with their enthusiasm and understanding of the new RHS qualifications. Suitable candidates will have a thorough understanding and ability to deliver the RHS Level. The Principals of Plant and Growth Development with industry insight and experience to support teaching and learning across Plant Science, Plant Health, Plant Nutrition and Plant Specification. you will be preparing learner for examined assessment. The College is committed to growth within this curriculum area and the right candidate could potentially increase their hours.
