Applicants should hold current registration with NMC or HCPC and have experience in nursing or allied health roles. The role blends academic and pastoral support, curriculum development, and collaboration
We are seeking to appoint two enthusiastic, knowledgeable and student-focused healthcare professionals to join our Social Work and Health Care Apprenticeships Department.
Applications are welcomed from Registered Adult or Mental Health Nurses and Registered Allied health Professionals who hold current registration with an appropriate UK professional regulator, such as the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) or Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
We are particularly interested in appointing colleagues whose combined knowledge, skills and professional experience will strengthen the breadth of nursing and allied health expertise within the department.
You will bring current professional knowledge and experience to support apprentices in developing safe, evidence-informed and person-centred practice. You will help to ensure that nursing, allied health and multidisciplinary perspectives are embedded meaningfully across the curriculum.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a vibrant, learner-focused institution committed to high-quality education that prepares apprentices for contemporary professional practice. You will play a key role in helping learners develop confidence, critical thinking and professional capabilities within an inclusive and supportive learning environment.
Teaching responsibilities will reflect the successful candidates’ professional expertise and may include the NMC-approved Registered Nurse Degree Apprenticeship and Nursing Associate programmes, the Assistant Practitioner programme and wider healthcare apprenticeship provision. You will also contribute flexibly across other programmes within the department according to curriculum and staffing needs. The role will include the design, delivery and assessment of inclusive, evidence-informed learning; academic and pastoral support; assessment and feedback; practice-related learning; digital learning; and curriculum development. You will support apprentices to evidence their off-the-job training, monitor their progress towards Apprenticeship Assessment, and work collaboratively with employers and external partners to maintain apprenticeship compliance and a high-quality learner experience.
We welcome applications from candidates with academic or practice-based experience who are passionate about supporting learners from diverse backgrounds. Whether you are an experienced lecturer or a practitioner transitioning into higher education, we are committed to supporting your professional development within an ambitious and collaborative department.
