Job summary

Barking & Dagenham College in Romford is seeking a Lecturer - Business to inspire learners and help them gain core skills for employment and progression.

You will deliver inclusive sessions, develop schemes of work, provide feedback, monitor progress, and contribute to curriculum development. The role is 10.8 hours per week on a fixed-term basis until 9 July 2027, with salary £26,514 to £46,307 per annum pro-rated.

Qualifications

• A recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, Cert Ed or equivalent).
• Experience teaching Business within Further Education.
• The ability to teach across all levels and have industry background.
• Strong understanding of inclusive teaching strategies.
• The ability to differentiate effectively for mixed-ability groups.
• Experience tracking and monitoring learner progress using digital systems.
• Strong administrative and organisational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• A commitment to safeguarding and learner wellbeing.
