Job summary

Arden University invites applications for enthusiastic Lecturers in Business and Innovation to join the Foundation Degrees team in Newcastle. You will deliver both face-to-face and online learning, connecting academic content with practical skills to help students succeed.

You will contribute to module development, support students as a Personal Academic Coach, and may take on module leadership as the programme grows. The role includes a hybrid pattern and regular on-campus presence.

Qualifications

• A master’s degree or equivalent professional qualification in a subject relevant to the teaching area.
• A recognised higher education teaching qualification and/or Advance HE Fellowship at FHEA or SFHEA level, or a commitment to achieving this recognition within 12 months of appointment.
• Evidence of continuing professional development (CPD), demonstrating a commitment to enhancing your subject knowledge, teaching capability and practical teaching methods and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging teaching through face‑to‑face and online delivery, inspiring students.
• Develop and update modules and learning materials to keep the curriculum current.
• Act as a Personal Academic Coach (PAC) supporting student engagement, progression and academic success.
• Potentially take on Module Leader responsibilities as the programme develops.
• Teach up to 16–20 hours per week, with academic support, tutorials, student engagement and wider programme duties.
