Job summary

Charles Hunter Associates Ltd is seeking a dedicated Children's Social Worker to join the Leaving Care Team on a maternity cover contract. The post requires qualification in social work and a minimum of three years' post-qualifying experience.

You will support 16-18-year-olds preparing to leave care, collaborating with housing, education, employment, and benefits partners, and you will contribute to a steady, child-centred service within children's services.

Qualifications

• Must hold a social work qualification (Degree, DipSW or CQSW).
• At least three years' post-qualifying experience.
• Valid UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Support young people aged 16-18 as they prepare to leave care and become more independent.
• Work with them and partner agencies on housing, education, employment, benefits and other aspects of adult life.
• Work effectively within children's services.
