Job summary

4Recruitment Services Ltd is seeking a Personal Advisor Leaving Care in Barnsley to support looked-after children and care leavers aged 16–25 across health, education, employment, independence, housing and finances.

You will work with young people to develop and implement pathway plans, attend reviews, and coordinate with partner organisations to deliver targeted interventions and financial planning support.

Qualifications

• Experience with vulnerable young people aged 16–25.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent qualification.
• Understanding of growth and development and look-after youth issues.
• Knowledge of Children Act 1989, 2004 and Leaving Care Act 2000 regulations.
• Ability to manage challenging behaviour and build strategies.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with partner organisations to assess, plan and support care leavers.
• Manage a caseload of individual young people per policies and legislation.
• Attend reviews and contribute to meetings wherever a young person lives.
• Assess needs and deliver interventions for diverse care leavers.
• Assess financial needs and assist with budgets for accommodation and maintenance.
• Visit young people, complete assessments, reviews, and maintain records.
• Plan and record Pathway Planning meetings when required.
• Visit young people at home and other venues in line with standards.
