Qualifications

• In-depth leather goods manufacturing knowledge for bags and SLGs.
• Experience managing suppliers, terms, MOQs, and negotiations.
• Ability to source materials aligned with design aesthetics and sustainability.
• Budget management of raw materials with cost-saving focus.
• Proven cross-functional collaboration across design, production, quality, and sustainability.
• Strong project leadership to manage seasonal development timelines.
• Familiarity with PLM, ERP and data reporting using MS Office.
• Understanding of quality control and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end seasonal material development including sourcing and supplier management.
• Oversee two direct reports and cross-functional development with design, product, and quality teams.
• Manage budgets for raw materials and drive cost-saving initiatives.
• Coordinate material development, approvals, and production sign-off.
• Lead material meetings and pre-production reviews with clear issue resolution.
• Ensure sustainability goals are met and communicated with suppliers.
• Collaborate with sourcing, quality, sampling and product teams to ensure timely ordering and delivery.
• Maintain leather development lists, archiving, and system inputs.
