Newcastle University is seeking a skilled developer to design, build, deploy and support bespoke web-based systems that support teaching and learning across the Faculty, University, and partner organisations.

You will lead the technical delivery of digital services through the full lifecycle, collaborating with academic, administrative and technical stakeholders to translate needs into secure, scalable solutions aligned with digital strategy.

Formación

• Proven ability to develop and deploy web-based systems in enterprise environments.
• Excellent Python knowledge with Django and related frameworks.
• Strong database experience with MySQL.
• Experience integrating web services and APIs securely.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsabilidades

• Translate requirements into scalable, secure technical solutions.
• Lead full service lifecycle from discovery to deployment and support.
• Deliver projects by coordinating with colleagues in various teams.
• Develop and maintain systems in teaching environments incl NHS/external partners.
• Integrate data from institutional and external sources securely.
• Ensure reliability through deployment processes, version control, monitoring and incident response.
• Provide technical guidance to colleagues on feasibility and future developments.
• Create and maintain technical and user documentation.
