Newcastle University’s Library is seeking an Academic Engagement professional to help transform curricula by designing and delivering high-quality digital, information and research skills teaching to a diverse student body. You will work in partnership with academic colleagues to create blended learning resources and provide one-to-one support to staff and students.

• Significant experience working in libraries in an academic or similar environment.
• Experience using and demonstrating information resources and digital tools for varying study levels.
• Experience designing and delivering information literacy teaching across formats (in-person, online, asynchronous).
• Up-to-date knowledge of teaching and learning in higher education, especially digital literacies.

Responsabilidades

• Design and deliver high-quality digital, information and research skills teaching to students at all levels.
• Develop and maintain online multimedia learning resources and activities (guides, videos, e-learning).
• Provide one-to-one support in using academic information resources and digital tools.
• Support Schools as a key contact and represent the Library in School meetings.
• Develop publicity materials and plan promotional events.
• Coordinate and support Library projects and research activities.
• Evaluate new digital tools and resources for Academic Engagement.
• Support outreach activities and information literacy initiatives.
• Supervise Senior Library Assistants and temporary staff in teaching-related tasks.
• Engage with networks to stay informed on practice and pedagogy.
