Job summary

able2achieve Ltd. is seeking a Learning Support Worker to assist learners with learning disabilities and mental health needs in Crewkerne, part of the Somerset and Devon services.

You will help learners access opportunities, make informed choices and develop meaningful lifestyles. Key duties include reviewing care plans, safeguarding responsibilities, record-keeping and collaboration with families and professionals.

Qualifications

Job description

The Learning Support Worker supports learners with learning disabilities, mental health needs and/or challenging behaviour in Crewkerne as part of able2achieve's Somerset and Devon services. The role helps learners feel safe, make informed choices, access opportunities and develop meaningful, rewarding lifestyles.

Responsibilities include reviewing and updating care plans and risk assessments, following safeguarding procedures, reporting concerns, supporting person-centred learning, helping learners access the community, maintaining accurate records, liaising with families and professionals, contributing to support plans and tutorials, and working collaboratively with colleagues.

The successful candidate will demonstrate able2achieve's values, effective communication, teamwork, confidentiality, flexible working, willingness to complete mandatory training, understanding of care service delivery, appreciation of CQC requirements, and the ability to travel regionally as required.

This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis in Crewkerne. Salary is £12.77 - £14.86 per hour depending on experience and qualifications.
