Working hours: 8:30 am - 4:00 pm (Full-time, Permanent)
Provide individualised and group support to students aged 4-18 with Special Educational Needs (SEN). Collaborate on and implement IEPs, foster a positive learning environment, and assist students with daily living skills. Monitor student progress, behaviour, and interventions. Maintain open communication with parents/guardians.
Minimum 6 months' experience supporting students with SEN. Experience in an ABA/CABAS school is highly advantageous.
Skills and Qualifications:Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills; patience, empathy, and a positive attitude; strong organisational and time management skills; proven behaviour management experience. GCSEs in Maths and English at grade C or above (or equivalent). Additional skills include ability to track progression, behaviour management, building relationships, classroom management, communication, de-escalation techniques, empathy, experience in administering medication, managing challenging behaviour, working with autism spectrum disorders, learning difficulties, social-emotional mental health, inclusiveness, manual handling, marking, mentoring, personal care, planning, resilience, restraint training, speech and language therapy.
