Job description

Axcis is partnering with a well-renowned college on the outskirts of Cheltenham that caters to students with a range of learning difficulties, social and emotional mental health needs, and autism. They are seeking a full-time Learning Support Worker to start as soon as possible and continue until the end of the academic year.

About the Role
  1. Support students with SEND in a tailored, inclusive curriculum based on their hobbies, interests, and skills.
  2. Provide holistic support aligned with the college's approach.
  3. Work Monday to Friday, 08:30-16:30, totaling 37 hours per week.
  4. Salary: £17.00 per hour.
  5. Potential for permanent employment for the right candidate.
Candidate Requirements
  1. Experience working with learners with SEND, preferably in a post-16 setting.
  2. Experience with GCSE or Level 2 Math and English, and IT skills is desirable.
  3. A positive attitude, adaptability, reliability, and compassion are essential.
  4. Experience or personal interest in SEMH, autism, or learning disabilities is a plus.
Additional Information
  1. Initially paid weekly in arrears every Friday.
  2. Start date ASAP, with a view to permanent placement for suitable candidates.
  3. Inclusive environment with positive feedback from staff and students.
