About The Company

Ingfield Manor School is a non-maintained special school and part of Salutem Care and Education, which has services across England and Wales supporting adults and children in residential and educational environments. We believe everyone should have the opportunity to live a healthy, active, and fulfilling life, regardless of their background or disability. Our aim is to provide a safe and stimulating environment that enables children and young people to flourish and grow. Ingfield Manor School caters for students aged 3–19 years with neurological motor impairments such as Cerebral Palsy and associated medical and sensory needs. Following the Conductive Education approach, the focus is on the holistic development of everyone, including their physical and communication skills.

We are currently recruiting Learning Support Workers to join our teams, supporting groups of around eight students throughout the learning day. Candidates should have a related Level 3 qualification or be willing to acquire one on the job, and have experience working with children or young people.

You will be involved in all aspects of the students' day as part of a team, creating a learning environment that delivers the curriculum, ensures student progress, maintains high standards of care, and adheres to health and safety policies in line with the school's ethos.

To ensure effective use of resources and be part of a team that maintains an adequately resourced learning environment to deliver the curriculum, promote student progress, uphold high standards of care, and ensure health and safety, in compliance with policies and procedures.

Hours

Full-time, 40 hours per week, during term time only, with shifts: 7.00am – 3.30pm, 12.00pm – 9.00pm, and 8.30am – 4.30pm. Flexible working options available, including early mornings (6.30am - 10.30am) and evenings (3:30pm - 9:30pm).

Salary

£20,855 - £22,924 per annum (£11.69 - £12.85 per hour). (FTE 52 weeks: £24,315 - £26,728). Salary depends on experience.

Responsibilities
  1. Participate actively in creating a stimulating learning environment aligned with the school's ethos.
  2. Implement group and individual educational programmes for pupils, under the direction of the team leader, including planning and preparation.
  3. Be committed to Conductive Education.
  4. Contribute to developing the overall programme for the pupil group.
  5. Assist in writing individual aims for pupils.
  6. Maintain all records for designated pupils.
  7. Engage in all aspects of the pupils' day.
  8. Provide high standards of physical and emotional care.
  9. Ensure the physical environment is safe, hygienic, and well-presented.
  10. Participate in staff training and development programs.
  11. Maintain professional contact with parents or guardians and support the school's commitment to Every Child Matters.
  12. Work collaboratively across departments or teams to implement the school’s strategic direction.
  13. Demonstrate commitment to customer service excellence and meet the school’s quality standards.
  14. Perform any other duties reasonably assigned by the Principal.
  15. The role involves physically facilitating pupils and moving furniture and equipment.
