Job summary

Queen Alexandra College in Harborne, Birmingham, is seeking a Learning Support Assistant Manager to oversee the day-to-day management of Learning Support Assistants, supporting the Learning Support Manager and ensuring that the learning support provided to learners is of the highest quality.

The role is full-time (37 hours/week, 43 weeks/year) with a salary of £32,181–£35,818 per year. The post emphasises safeguarding, appraisals, staff development and effective team collaboration.

Qualifications

• Minimum level 2 or equivalent in numeracy and literacy, with IT preferred.
• Experience in supervising staff and safeguarding in an education setting.
• Ability to provide coaching, appraisals and performance feedback.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day management of Learning Support Assistants.
• Support the Learning Support Manager to ensure high-quality learner support.
• Provide line management, supervision and appraisals for LSAs.
• Coordinate LSA allocation across learning areas and sessions.
• Contribute to safeguarding, policy adherence and team development.
