In this role you will offer guidance and support to neurodiverse or disabled learners on our programmes to enable them to achieve their aspirations and goals. You will deliver effective teaching, learning and support to learners for qualifications and their individual needs.

The responsibilities
  1. Deliver engaging and creative learning to meet the needs of the learner.
  2. Deliver learning and evidence progression to meet the targets set for the learner.
  3. Motivate, enable and drive learners to achieve their goals through outstanding teaching and learning.
  4. Create individual support plans tailored to learner’s individual needs, considering the results of initial & diagnostic assessments.
  5. Provide continuous and effective Information, Advice & Guidance to learners.
  6. Provide pastoral support to learners as required to aid engagement & achievement of their goals.
  7. Deliver and facilitate teaching, learning and support that encourages accelerated and autonomous learning.
  8. Support the learning process through the development of learning resources.
  9. Engage and coach the learner’s Employer/Mentor to provide adequate support and guidance.
  10. Complete detailed documentation to evidence the need for Learning Support Funding.
  11. Work collaboratively with and provide accurate updates to the appropriate delivery colleagues and support the timely achievement of the qualification.
  12. Monitor learner’s welfare, health and safety in the workplace, upskilling learner’s knowledge regarding Safeguarding, British Values, Prevent and Equality & Diversity.
Your experience and skills
  1. Experience of and a proven track record of working with SEND learners.
  2. Proven track record of consistently exceeding targets.
  3. Knowledge and/or experience in delivering Safeguarding.
  4. Educated at degree level or equivalent experience.
  5. Teaching qualification preferred but not essential.
