Job summary

East Kent Colleges Group seeks a compassionate Learning Support Practitioner at EKC Sheppey College to provide tailored one-to-one and group support to students with high levels of need across Entry Level to Level 3, including GCSE English and Maths. You will assist with personalised care and work with staff to foster independence.

You will support learners in classroom sessions, workshops and enrichment activities, collaborating with lecturers to create an inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting students with SEND would be beneficial.
• Ability to work in inclusive classroom settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide inclusive, person-centred support to students with SEND across lessons and workshops.
• Support learners one-to-one and in groups to promote independence and confidence.
• Assist with personal care where required (full training provided) and help with mobility and welfare needs.
• Collaborate with teaching staff and external professionals to ensure a consistent learning experience.
• Support students in achieving qualifications and progression goals.
