Job summary

Dovetail and Slate is recruiting Learning Support Practitioners for a 6-week temporary assignment at a Further Education provider in York. You will offer 1:1 and small group educational support to students with additional learning needs, helping them engage with curriculum and thrive in their studies.

Roles include assisting with mobility and personal care, and supporting staff during lessons and unstructured times. Multiple hours options are available, including 22.5, 30 or 37 hours per week.

Qualifications

• Level 3 qualification or above.
• Experience with learners on autism or with learning difficulties.
• Ability to assist with personal care and mobility.

Responsibilities

• Guide student learning in the classroom.
• Provide 1:1 or group support during lessons and breaks.
• Assist with mobility and personal care on campus and during visits.
• Coordinate transport arrangements at day end.
