An established educational institution is seeking a passionate Learning Support Practitioner to assist students with high needs. This role offers a competitive salary and the opportunity to work during term time only, allowing for a balanced work-life schedule. You will play a crucial role in supporting students with diverse learning difficulties, ensuring they receive the necessary assistance in their educational journey. Please note that this vacancy requires the successful candidate to work 35 hours per week, 38 weeks during term time. The salary will be £16,957 (£24,598 FTE) pro rata per annum. A holiday payment of £2,288 will be paid equally in your twelve monthly salary payments, in addition to the pro rata salary.
As a Learning Support Practitioner, you will provide support to students with high needs undertaking a range of subjects and qualifications from pre-entry/life skills up to level 3, including Functional and GCSE English and Maths.
Students may have a wide range of learning difficulties and/or disabilities. Support may be needed in their programme of study, work placement, and if necessary, their welfare/personal care needs.

Do you have strong communication skills, an understanding of behaviour management, and a passion to inspire students to learn? Are you able to work well under pressure? If so, this may be the ideal role for you.
You should be passionate about supporting students with high needs and ideally have experience working with individuals with visual/hearing impairments, global developmental delay, and communication difficulties. Support may include personal care, mobility assistance, and medical/feeding needs. Full training will be provided.
