Role Description/CriteriaHoly Eucharist School is currently seeking a Learning Support Officer (LSO). The successful applicant will be required to work 5 days a week for 4 hours per day. This is a fixed term contract until the end of the year. This specific role will be assisting the classroom teacher and supporting the learning needs of our students.The staff at Holy Eucharist School work hard to ensure the success and growth in learning of all its students. We require an organised, enthusiastic and positive person to fulfil this role. The successful applicant will be expected to work collaboratively with the Learning Diversity Leader, classroom teachers, Intervention staff and with other LSOs. The LSO is appointed by the Principal and works under the supervision of the Learning Diversity Leader and Classroom Teacher in their role of assisting Students with Disabilities to integrate in a mainstream setting and to access the mainstream curriculum at the child’s point of need. Previous experience is preferable, but not essential.The LSO may work with students with disabilities, impairments or learning difficulties across all areas and all levels. We expect that the applicant appointed will implement Holy Eucharist School’s philosophy through modelling and supporting the goals of the school and to proactively participate in their own ongoing development and learning.Selection Criteria:
