Job summary

TeacherActive is seeking enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to support Primary Schools across Brecon and surrounding areas in Wales. Temporary, flexible placements with competitive daily rates are available, with ongoing consultant support and CPD opportunities.

Ideal candidates will have experience with children and a PASSION for helping young learners succeed. A CACHE Level 2/3 TA qualification is desirable but not essential.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting pupils in classroom or similar settings.
• Ability to work with children of primary school age.
• Strong communication with colleagues, pupils and parents.
• Commitment to inclusive, positive learning environments.

Responsibilities

• Support class teachers with learning activities.
• Work 1:1 or in small groups with pupils needing extra help.

TeacherActive is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our fantastic team, supporting Primary Schools across Brecon . Whether you're looking for full-time or part-time, long-term placements , we’d love to hear from you!

Your Role Will Involve:

• Supporting class teachers with learning activities
• Working 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who need extra support
• Helping to create a positive, engaging, and inclusive classroom environment
• Assisting with classroom organisation and behaviour management
• Encouraging the development of social and emotional skills
• Previous experience working with children (in schools, clubs, nurseries or similar)
• A caring, patient and proactive approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
• A passion for helping young learners succeed!
• A relevant Teaching Assistant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2 or 3) is desirable but not essential —your enthusiasm and commitment matter most!
