Job summary

Total People in Liverpool is seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to empower 16-19 learners, including SEND, on a permanent, part-time basis. You’ll work with tutors to tailor support, foster independence and help learners achieve goals.

Based at our Halton site, you’ll build trust with students, families and external agencies, contributing to an inclusive learning environment and ongoing development opportunities.

Qualifications

• You don’t need to have worked as an LSA before. If you’re passionate about supporting young people and can bring empathy, patience and enthusiasm to the role, we’d love to hear from you.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one support tailored to individual learner needs
• Help learners engage in lessons and access the curriculum
• Support learners with Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs)
• Encourage independence, confidence and self-belief
• Assist with classroom activities, learning resources and interventions
• Build positive relationships with learners, families, employers and external agencies
• Support learners to achieve their educational and personal goals
• Contribute to creating an inclusive, positive and supportive learning environment for all learners
