Job summary

Henry Blue is seeking a Learning Support Assistant for Carlisle to provide classroom and 1:1 support for learners aged 16-19. You will help students engage with lessons, assist with individuals with additional learning needs and work with staff to meet each learner's goals.

You will contribute to a positive and inclusive learning environment, supporting personal development and progression while building confidence in young people.

Qualifications

• Enhanced DBS required.
• Previous experience supporting learners in a school, college or education setting.
• Experience working with SEND/additional learning needs is desirable.
• Patient, supportive and confident working with young people.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• A genuine passion for helping learners succeed

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom and 1:1 learning support to students.
• Support learners with additional learning needs and disabilities.
• Help students engage with lessons and complete learning activities.
• Provide encouragement and support to build confidence and independence.
• Work closely with teaching staff to meet individual learner needs.
• Support students with their personal development and progression.
