Job summary

Bright Star Talent Limited is seeking a Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming and busy secondary school in Darwen. You will support students in lessons, help maintain engagement and build positive relationships with pupils and staff to foster an inclusive learning environment.

With DBS Update Service registration, you will work closely with teachers to provide academic and personal support, helping students stay on task, develop confidence and reach their potential in a thriving

Qualifications

• Experience working with children or young people.
• Approachable, patient and confident.
• Genuine passion for helping students succeed.
• Ability to build relationships with pupils and staff.
• Reliable and capable in a busy secondary school.
• DBS Update Service registered.

Responsibilities

• Support students in the classroom and help them stay engaged with their learning.
• Provide additional support to students who may need extra help.
• Work alongside teachers and support staff to help students make progress.
• Build positive, trusting relationships with students.
• Encourage confidence, independence and positive behaviour.
• Help create a calm, safe and inclusive classroom environment.
• Support students academically and personally throughout the school day.
